July 26, 27, & 28/10  - Examinations Click Here for Exam Times!

This month's examinations will be split into three sessions, similar to June's Examinations. As a result, the following 3 classes are CANCELLED:

Monday Family Advanced 6:00-7:00pm July 26/10
Tuesday Children Beginners 5:30-6:30pm July 27/10
Wednesday Family Intermediates 7:30-8:30 July 28/10

Aug 2-7/10 - Closed for Summer Maintenance

Triumph TKD will be closed the first week of August to allow for maintenance. All regular classes resume Monday Aug 9/10, but as mentioned above, we will be closed on all Saturdays during July & Aug. We encourage you to make up any classes missed due to our closures.

August 9-13/10 - Guest Instructor M. Alex Michaud Teaching Classes

Attention all French-speaking students: don't miss the chance to practice your French while you practice Taekwon-Do!

During the second week of August, all regular classes will be taught by guest Instructor M. Alex Michaud visiting all the way from Quebec City, QB. Some of our members may remember his motivating and high energy work-outs from August 2009. All lessons will be instructed in English, but don't be afraid to speak French with him, too! 

Mr. & Mrs. Reinelt will be taking this opportunity for a well deserved vacation and rest. Our regular Black Belt Instructional Staff and Leadership students will be assisting M. Michaud; Ms. Weir will be able to process basic sales at the front desk while Ms. R is away.

Sept 25/10 - 5th Annual Triumph Taekwon-Do Open House - Click HERE for more info!

Come help us celebrate Triumph Taekwon-Do's 5th anniversary! Bring a food donation and enjoy hot dogs, snacks, and cake! We will be featuring performances by the Black Belt Club, and a special feature by the Triumph Taekwon-Do Demonstration Team. In between demo's, we will be offering our very traditional bouncy castle for the kids!

Oct 14th - 17th 2010 - ITF World Cup, Las Vegas, USA ----EVENT CANCELLED----

Due to the extremely unfortunate and untimely passing of our ITF President Grand Master Tran, the ITF World Cup  in Las Vegas has been cancelled.

NOVEMBER 12 & 13, 2010  -  Triumph TKD hosting the 2010 National Championships!

Triumph Taekwon-Do is very proud to announce that we will be hosting the ITF National Championships in the fall of 2010! We are very excited about this opportunity! We currently have a core group of volunteers to coordinate the event, but are always looking for more! There are plenty of things that we'll be needing help with, so if you're interested in lending your time, please let us know! 604-944-KICK (5425)

Please ensure that you arrive 20 minutes ahead of time so that you can get changed and warmed up.
As a reminder, students must wear their full Dobok (no training t-shirts, please!) because exams are a
formal event.

STUDENTS: Please make sure you complete your study sheet and "Permission to Promote" form, and
hand both in one week before your exam date. The study sheet you receive is meant to help you study
for the knowledge component of your test. However, it's not enough to only remember the words you
fill in the blanks with! Study all the material outlined in your requirements packet until you become
familiar with it.

If you don't understand something, just ask! Our teaching staff will be happy to help you remember!

COME AND JOIN THE PARTY!

Saturday September 25, 2010 ~ 11:00am-3:00pm

Students, parents, family and friends, as well as guests from our community, are all invited to help us celebrate Triumph Taekwon-Do’s 5th Annual Open House.  We have had five great years, thanks to all of you!

Come by Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 between 11:00am and 3:00pm and check out all the great activities we have going on!

This year we’ll be featuring:

• Demonstrations by our Black Belt Club members
• Bouncy Castle
• Board Breaking
• Hot Dogs, drinks and snacks (by donation to the Food Bank)
• Free “Try TKD” classes
• Free Self-Defence seminar
• Special Prize Draws for students and for the general public

Members of the Black Belt Club have been working hard over the summer, and will be putting on several exciting demonstrations throughout the course of the day.  As always, there will be a bouncy castle to bounce around and have fun in between demonstrations.

While you’re there, sign-up for an introductory class and try out some of our Taekwon-Do martial arts moves!  Mr. Reinelt will be running several FREE “Try TKD” classes, as well as a Self Defence class throughout the day.  It’ll be a great chance for family, friends, and our other guests to join in on the action!

We will be featuring hot dogs, snacks, and drinks, for everyone.  In return, we would appreciate a non-perishable food donation for our local Food Bank.  Last year we collected 60 lbs. of food and over $100 in cash towards the Food Bank.  Way to go!
